Arts ExhibitionCelebrating 20 years of the Niland Conference Centre
Architects and painters, sculptors and musicians, filmmakers and writers, photographers and poets, artists of every discipline, are called to make beauty shine, especially where darkness and greyness dominate everyday life; they are custodians of beauty, heralds and witnesses of hope for humanity, as my predecessors have repeated many times. I invite them, therefore, to care for beauty, and beauty will heal the many wounds that mark the heart and soul of the men and women of our times”.
Pope Francis, December 2016

We celebrate 20 years of preaching and outreach to the local Community by hosting an Arts Exhibition, featuring the work of various local artists and artisans.
In 1996, the Dominican Sisters decided to convert several of the out-buildings at Rosary Priory into a purpose-built Conference Centre from which their ministry of preaching and teaching the the Good News of the Gospel, and outreach to the wider Community, would continue.
Now we celebrate and we give thanks for the thousands of people who have passed through the doors of the Niland Centre from various walks of life, of different faiths and no faiths.
Throughout the years, Sisters have hosted days of reflection and prayer, courses and retreats, prayer and study groups and a plethora of activities, including annual Arts & Crafts Exhibitions. Similarly, we have welcomed individuals and groups from a variety of Church and Community-based groups for conferences and in-service training days, retreats and meetings.
We welcome a variety of local artists and artisans to share and celebrate the beauty of their work.
Begin with the beautiful, which leads you to the good, which leads you to the truth.
